Our Process

We know hiring processes can seem overwhelming, but we strive to make it as smooth as possible. We want all candidates – from entry level to leadership – to have access to the same information and resources (after all, our mission is to match impactful people with meaningful organizations).

Adytize’s screening process is the most important part of our business. We care deeply about our clients and the people who make them up. We also care deeply about building a more representative and inclusive workplace, and that begins with hiring. In order to truly match people to organizations, we know that we need a diversity of perspectives and experiences, and a fair screening process is the first step in getting there.

With that in mind, we’ve broken down the process both visually and verbally below, to turn these abstract statements into a tangible map for you to follow.

Self-reflection

While we’re sure our candidates are ready to dive into the depths of applying for positions, we make sure to always start with an often-overlooked first step: self-reflection

Have you ever realized you excel at something that doesn’t ignite your passion? It’s a common experience; you might have developed certain skills due to your job requirements or past projects rather than through genuine interest. While possessing a broad skill set is advantageous, basing a fulfilling career solely on non-passionate abilities can be challenging. Before moving forward with applications, take a moment for introspection by considering the following:

  • Which newly acquired skill has simplified subsequent tasks and challenges for you?
  • Do you find your successes are mostly from working alone or within a team?
  • Do you find greater satisfaction in resolving issues or contributing to ongoing conversations?
  • Reflect on your most fulfilling job to date – what made it so rewarding?
  • Think back to the best team you’ve ever been part of – what made that team different?

Reflect on your past, focusing on the moments and elements that have brought you the most satisfaction and joy. Merge these reflections to form a vision for your future career path.

Why this introspective journey? Because your unique combination of skills, passions, achievements, and experiences shapes who you are. If you get hired just for your abilities, the company will gain merely a proficient worker. But if you get hired for your comprehensive array of skills, along with your passions, unique insights, and experiences, they gain someone truly impactful. That’s what we’re searching for.

Job Searching

Once you’ve taken some time to focus on what you’re looking for, you can get a better idea of who we are, what we’re about, and what we look for in impactful people.

Our goal is for you to feel like you know us a bit better, and that you’ve got enough information to feel like you’re applying for the right jobs.

The goal here is the position you land on should exist at the intersection of an impactful person and a meaningful company.

You should now have a better sense of who we are and our mission behind the meaning of impactful people.

Your resume

While it’s convenient to simply refresh your existing resume with recent updates, we encourage you to dive deeper. Taking the time to thoroughly reassess and revamp your resume will significantly enhance your experience.

We recommend you use your existing resume as a source of inspiration, yet focus on creating a new one from scratch, tailored to the specific role you’re eyeing, with a focus on showcasing yourself as an impactful individual.

To construct a resume that resonates with each unique position, adhere to the following guidelines:

  • List skills and experiences that match what the job asks for. Show how what you’ve done fits with what they need, and use numbers to explain when you can.
  • Talk about projects you’ve worked on or led. What did you achieve? How did you know it was a success?
  • If you’ve led a team, share about it. How many people were on the team? What was your main job?
  • If you’re just out of school or don’t have much work experience, include school projects or classes that show you have the right skills.
  • Keep it short. Your resume should be to the point, and try to keep it to one page.
  • Cover letters are not a must, but if you choose to include one, make it specific to the job. Share how you’ve made a difference before and link it to what the job needs. Show your enthusiasm and what makes you unique.

Interviews

If a Recruiting team member from adytize believes you might be a match for a job you’ll enter our interview process.

While the questions may differ for different roles, we apply the same adytize principals for every interview to ensure we assess candidates to meet our clients goals:

Interviews: We get excited about interviewing and take it seriously because, at the core, that is what adytize is all about. Our process is meant to be friendly, warm, and gives us the opportunity to get to know you better. We’re guided by our goal of matching impactful people with meaningful organizations

In the end, we want above all to assess your skills and see if you and the specific role are a match. So we conduct our interviews using these guiding lights:

  • Structured interviewing: Every candidate is assessed using clear rubrics, and we use those rubrics for all folks being considered for that role, so that everyone is evaluated from the same perspective, allowing their distinctiveness to emerge.
  • Open-ended questions: We ask open-ended questions to learn how you solve problems. We want to understand how your mind works, how you interact with a team, and what your strengths are.
